Innovations on Cell Phone Technology

November 18th, 2009 Edward Dantes No comments

Just a couple of decades ago, people were using bulky behemoths that barely deserved to be called portable phones. Those phones were far too inconvenient to really use on a regular basis. These days, however, mobile phones have become so tiny and so slick, that it sometimes becomes hard to use them. It’s almost ironic.

But of course, there are different sizes available for everyone. And now you can choose what’s best for you. Indeed, so much has changed since mobile phones were first released. And even now, more and more developments are being made and they are revolutionizing the way we live our lives.

High Speed Internet Access

Cell Phones now have the capability to connect to the internet. This makes it incredibly easy to gather information. It literally gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, having the world at your fingertips. Usually, the more modern the phone is, the better it can present the internet. No longer are we limited to looking at text based web pages on are phones. We can actually watch videos on our mobile phones these days. The mobile phone has become a very powerful tool for data collection that will only become more versatile as more research is done.

Multimedia Tool

One of the things that played a large role in revolutionizing the role of mobile phones is the installment of various multimedia gadgets into its makeup. First of all is the camera. Once we were able to start taking pictures, it became easier than ever to record events. This became especially true when, not long after, video recording was also made possible. And then, mobile phones also turned into music players. All of a sudden, CD players and other portable music players actually became obsolete. After all, why should you carry around all that extra bulk when you could have it all on your mobile phone?

Mini Tracking Device

Children are now experts at using cell phones. In actuality, many children as young as 4 or 5 are being given with cell phones so that their parents can contact with them anytime and anywhere. But now, with the help of GPS, parents can track their children’s location whenever they want. Also, when the kid feels that he is in potential danger, he can just push a certain button and the parent will be automatically informed.

You can learn much more about cellphones on the Internet. A good place to start is the webhomepage of Mobiltelefoner about the latest cellphones and the fantastic functions they have.

Interesting Technology For Finding People

October 15th, 2009 Naciosello Directorio No comments

Last century saw more inventions than the whole recorded history of mankind.

We tend to believe that computer tech world is the one that’s seeing the most progress. Nothing can be further from the truth! Health and medicinal world is the one with the most new discoveries. And it’s not really surprising if you read the medical magazines.

Every month there is a big new announcement being made by the medical community. This is not to say that IT is lagging far behind either. Information technology has seen its fair share of growth also. Unfortunately some of it is quite controversial. Let’s take reverse phone book lookup as an example. Before if you wanted to get a name of a person you would need to manually look for the phone number in a telephone book. Can you imagine sifting through all of these phone numbers? I sure can’t.

Today you can run reverse phone lookups directly from the comfort of your own home. Simply visit a web-site like:National-Cell-Directory enter the phone number and voila. Information like the first and last name of the user and address is readily available. In the case of cell phone lookup you might get even more information. For example if the carrier supports this feature you might be able to get the actual location of an individual to whom the number belongs!

Potential benefits of a reverse number lookup are innumerable. Prank calls and harassment calls can now be traced and reported to authorities. Running a toll free number check can tell you the name of the company that was calling. Or maybe you just want to send your favourite uncle a Christmas present, but only have his phone number, well now you can quickly get the address that goes with it too.

Unfortunately the bad guys can take advantage of the situation as well. A sexual predator might use this to find the address of his victim.

In any case, even if some bad guys decide to use reverse phone lookup, it remains a very useful service, which we should all have access to. Their bad deeds should not prevent us from enjoying this service. In my opinion banning reverse phone look up, would be like banning forks, just because someone can use it as a weapon.

Reverse Telephone Number Search

July 15th, 2009 Mark Smith No comments

Trying to do a reverse telephone number search on a cell phone can cause quite a problem, specifically if the number is needed urgently. This is because many cell numbers are not listed. While this can cause a problem when wanting a specific number urgently, it is not impossible.

The urgency can range from getting prank calls to constantly seeing a number you don’t recognize on your spouse’s cell phone or bill which raises some suspicion. No matter what causes the urgency, there are ways to retrieve a phone number’s owner.

There are many ways to find out who owns a number. For landlines, you can rely upon the white pages. For unlisted numbers, there are online data bases which might need a little work on your part.

When it comes to doing a reverse telephone number search on a cell phone number; networks do not provide the information to the public domains. This will make the reverse telephone number search for a cell phone number more difficult; but hey, nothing is impossible!! One way to search is to type the number in the search box of your computer with the area code; there are times when this works wonders for you and the best thing, it’s free. You could also use the *67 from an outside phone but this is not always good because you could be letting the prankster or cheater know you are on a search for them and they will just take a different route.

There is another option that is relatively easier and less time consuming. Using a reverse cell phone directory; it’s not free it may require small fee anywhere from $10 – $35. This is due to the fact that these directories are online databases which have to be constantly updated as and when new phones are added.

When using a reverse telephone number search, remember to find one that will let you test whether the owner’s cell phone number is present in the database.

Reverse Mobile Number Lookup

July 7th, 2009 Joe Marks No comments

The reverse cell phone lookup is the best approach to obtain relevant details of a person from just their mobile numbers. While many websites claim to offer these services free of charge, that’s just not the case. These websites get you desperate enough and force you to cough up some cash to see results you are not interested in.

Let’s get to the basics of searching phone numbers. Many a time, you would find yourself looking for the identities of the owners of phone numbers, whether to prevent dialing wrong numbers, or to catch an old friend. There are many sites that offer residential and business look ups for phone numbers on the internet. Social and business networking websites may also be good places to check.

This is not the case when it comes to mobile numbers. There exists no free directory as such in which all mobile numbers are listed and same is the case for fax numbers. The existence of such directories or free directories is what is unknown to many people.

The reverse cell phone lookup websites that do have a large database of mobile numbers with relevant information attached are the one’s that look for pay and use. These sites must have acquired the information by paying a source, so they are quite justified by charging for searches. In some websites, you can pay per search, meaning the amount of money you have to pay depends on how many times you are going to use their services. This is a convenient option as well for those once in a blue moon searches that you find yourself struggling for, with results. Most sites also claim that their records are legal and that their information is highly accurate.

Some sites offer access to some details like background reports and checks, people finder directories, liens, bankruptcies, public records directories include deaths, births, divorces, adoptions and marriages, police records, sex offender records and many more. All these sites follow the same method, pay some fee to get access to some particular information, but don’t forget that no access is included for information like this in your mobile number lookup membership.

Many are the sites I have seen, which claim to allow free access for mobile number lookups but they end up being pay and use, which allows the search to happen but expects a pay to see the complete result. The bitter truth is it is possible to find proper information using reverse mobile number lookups only in the pay and use databases. To conclude, the answer is negative, no free of cost mobile number lookups are available today. But if you are seriously trying to get access to some records then paying might be a bit fruitful.

Using the Area Code System to Your Benefit

July 3rd, 2009 Jack Spencer No comments

If you have been getting a phone call and are unaware of where it is coming from, there is a three digit part of the phone number that can be quite telling. This is the first three digits that shows up whenever you are looking at the caller ID, something that is known as the area code.

Whenever the phone company first started to go with the new numerical system many years ago, they split up various areas of the country into a three digit area code. There were 999 of these codes that were available, although they did not use them all up at that particular time. Each area of the country was assigned to one area code, at times multiple area codes.

The population soon overtook the existing area codes so additional area codes were added into the mix. As a result of this, you might find that one particular area of the country has multiple area codes assigned to it but other areas of the country have a single area code that might incorporate an entire city. If there are enough telephones within the area, an area code will be assigned which will allow for future growth as well.

Cellular telephones also added to the number of area codes that were in use and many of these are specifically used for cell phones. Another thing that has added to the number of area codes that are in use are fax lines, especially in use with businesses. That is why it is not always a simple matter of looking up the area code in order to find out who it is that has been calling you.

By looking at the area code, you will get a general idea of where the individual who is calling you is located. It could be a specific region of the country but it may also span several states in some rare cases. Some of the area codes go across an area that is quite large but typically, there are too many cellular telephones and use for this to be the case any longer. That is why the area code gives you more of a specific idea of where they are calling from.

If you would like to nail it down a little bit further, there are searches that are available on the Internet which help you reverse engineer a phone number and find out exactly who it is that has been calling you. If they were calling from a landline, this information is commonly available to the public but cellular telephone information is not always available because of privacy issues.

If you’re unable to find the information that you need on the Internet, you might have to resort to paying somebody a small fee in order to find information for you. None of us enjoy paying for this information but it is one of the only guaranteed ways that we have of finding out who is behind the number.
