Tattoos Choice With Chopper Tattoo

March 16th, 2010 Brian Yoon No comments

People, as social beings, have always wanted to stand out. Especially more in present times, there is that need to be different. Everything around us is trying to force us into conforming to what society thinks.

And there are so many things that we can do to make sure that we are different.

Tattoos have existed for such a long time now. Getting ink into our skins has always been a traditional way of setting ourselves apart from the group. During prehistoric times, people used tattoos to signify a person’s status and place in society. However, getting a tattoo should never be on impulse.

The reason for why you really have to think before getting a tattoo because you when you get a tattoo you can expect that have that tattoo stay permanently. If you are a victim of a bad tattoo, you can have it removed through laser but you get a hideous scar right after or you can simply contend with getting a new tattoo on top of the old one.

So if you decide to get a tattoo, you have to make sure that the tattoo design that you get is something that you absolutely like. You must then get a tattoo design that reflects your personality and individuality exactly. But I know that not all of us are artists and we can conjure a design which is very much us.

You can probably get free tattoo designs through the internet, but the only problem is that the number of designs is very limited, these designs are often recycled from other websites which means that more often than not, they have been in the internet for a long time and has been used by so many others.

If you want to make sure that your tattoo is a good investment, you better leave the tattoo design making to the professionals.

That does not mean that you have to pay much for a tattoo design. Chopper Tattoo offers thousands of tattoo designs in just a fraction of the cost.

And read my review site to learn about traffic ultimatum right now.

Essential Information About LED Television Technology

November 30th, 2009 Wayne Torres No comments

It was not too long ago that we were arguing the case for and against LCD and plasma televisions. And though LCD TV eventually came out the victor, due to its superior all round function and practicality, its crown is now under threat. That this threat comes from its sibling the LED television, is all the more intriguing.

Cynics out there, (of which I am a fully paid up member of the club), will snort at such an announcement and claim it is nothing more than a money making exercise. And whilst this holds some water; the technology in an LED television is a step in the right direction, so should not be dismissed too readily.

To appreciate this however, it is necessary to understand where LED television technology differs from what has gone before. In the most basic of levels, LED technology is simply a progression from LCD; it uses the self same screens for a start; and works in much the same the way. The difference lies in how light is sent to the screen; with LEDs, this is done through backlighting or side lighting.

LED television technology, (light emitting diode), also allows for these lights to be controlled completely independently of each other. This allows for a greater spectrum of colors to be seen, whilst blacks are the blackest and purest yet seen by an artificial image production. And it is here that a television is really measured by the industry, (and increasingly the consumer following clever marketing in certain quarters).

Increased image quality then; but where is the catch? With regards the unit itself; remarkably none. These LEDs are able to produce such content, whilst using less energy. More impressive than this, is that the energy consumed is well used; resulting in less heat and light wastage. Great for the environment then and great for your finances. Also an LED television will last a lot longer, and not really succumb to wear and tear, which makes it well worthy of consideration.

They are also a great deal thinner than there predecessors. Whilst regular LCD TVs are very slim; at just mere inches, an LED television will be measured with a depth given in millimetres. Indeed, the leading manufacturers are producing units that are a mere 6mm in depth.

There is of course a catch when looking to buy yourself a shiny new LED television. And that is of course the initial price. Even the smaller sized screens command prices in the five, six and seven hundred dollar region. For this price, you could buy a forty six inch regular LCD TV in some areas. You will not be able to buy an LED television equivalent of this size for much less than two thousand five hundred dollars.

In summary then LED TVs are just a natural progression from LCDs. It gives us better pictures, less operating costs and space saving abilities. The prices are really the only issue presently.

The good news for LED television detractors then is that the prices will inevitably fall; and the benefits will still be there, (and probably improved upon even more). However, it is also likely that new technologies will just about be ready to launch by this point, as the wheels of progress continue to turn.

Online Bass Lessons: Gain Musical Knowledge

November 10th, 2009 Simeon Blackstock No comments

There is little that proves more daunting for young bass players than realizing just how physically demanding it is to play bass. As novices watching our favorite bassists on video we think, “That doesn’t look so hard! I can do that!”

Take a regular guitar (which is tuned from the thickest to the lowest string- E – A – D – G – B – E) and exclude the two thinnest strings at the bottom and what is left is basically a bass guitar with thinner strings. Bass playing is usually note-oriented and not chord-oriented. This means that single notes are hit more often in bass playing and this scheme is the essential element of bass playing, one should be familiar with the tunings and the notes in a regular guitar to be able to decently play the bass guitar.

A bass guitar is heavy and cumbersome to carry around, because of all the supporting gadgets that come with it, not to mention the long cables that accompany all of the gadgets. Bass guitars are expensive to purchase, and also tough to learn. But these are indispensable in any pop or rock band. A bass guitar can indeed be the most prized possession of a devoted bassist.

A simpler setup would be to connect your bass guitar to the input of a direct injection box, which offers a different, rounder character compared to the crisp sound that you get from micing up a bass amplifier. There are a multitude of active and passive DI boxes to choose from, so try them out at the local guitar shop to see which one appeals to you the most.

Learning how to play slap bass and incorporating slap techniques into your bass playing will not only make you a better bass player, but also a more versatile one. To learn slap bass is not as hard as some people may think. You just have to keep with it and you will get it.

In struggling simply to get out the notes, though, it’s easy to neglect developing these small muscles. The result can be a great deal of wasted energy and motion, limiting one’s technique. So here are some of the do’s and don’t’s of hand position (the advice here is for righties; if you’re left-handed, adjust accordingly):

Also, crucial to slap bass is the “snapping” sound produced by pulling the strings up and letting them snap back onto the fretboard – this is called “popping”. Of course, all the other more usual techniques of bass playing are still used, such as hammer-ons and crosshammers, lift-offs, slides, string bends and harmonics – but rather than plucking the string with the finger or pick, it might be slapped with the thumb or popped.

Learning your bass patterns from alternate views of music theory and fretboard theory will result in a large impact on your bass playing skill, which is what being a great bass player is all about. For example traditional patterns, modern patterns, in position and out of position patterns need to be an integral part of your bass lessons.

Home Renovations DIY

October 12th, 2009 Colin Jones No comments

It appears that there has been a decline in consumer confidence in the building and construction industry of late. This may be because of the scams highlighted on television or the bribery and corruption endemic in the corporate sector, but it is almost certainly the same motivation why so many are now carrying out home improvements by themselves.

And why shouldn’t they? A little knowledge of the technical aspects combined with an eye for creativity is often enough to complete the home improvement on your own.

Why are people turning to DIY home improvements?

There are many people attempting to pass themselves off as construction workers, although they do not have a lot of experience in construction or home maintenance and they are literally are out there right now practising, learning their trades on homes like yours and mine around the country.

Not surprisingly, homeowners are finding that the jobs are not being completed to their liking. Sometimes they are even pre-paying for services that do not get done or were not part of the plan.

You do not have to rely on and pay someone to improve your home. Why not try to do it yourself?

You can augment your home?s existing concrete surfaces using acid stains, acrylic paints, epoxy paints, and scoring techniques.

If you are tired of looking at dull gray concrete, there are some easy projects if you are serious about having a go at home improvement DIY, you can easily give your patio, driveway or garage a refreshing new look.

Attractive concrete work costs about double that of normal concrete, which is why many people cannot afford it.

However, there are inexpensive methods to beautify concrete after it has cured, without having to pay skilled tradesmen.

Acid-based concrete stains are becoming more and more popular for coloring concrete surfaces. They chemically react with the cement to generate permanent color with a variegated or mottled appearance like that of marble. This results in a natural, stylish looking surface.

Water-based concrete stains are an alternative to acid stains but are much more user friendly because they are so much less toxic. These stains do not chemically react with the concrete; they are absorbed into the porous surface and act like a colorant. The big advantage of water based stains is the wide range of colors on hand.

If you want to risk going beyond the basic staining of your concrete, consider using some scoring techniques to create patterns on the surface.

You can make your concrete resemble a tiled floor for example. It is just up to your imagination. A mini angle grinder with a 4 inch cutting wheel is the perfect tool for this.

The key thing to remember when scoring is to trace out the pattern on the concrete first and ensure you are happy with the way it looks because scoring is irreversible.

Epoxy paints make an excellent coating for garage floors and cellar floors. Many industrial floors have epoxy coatings because of their hardiness and resilience to chemical spills as well as their appearance.

In recent years, however, it has become very popular for domestic use with the availability of an increasing number of different colors. This is not a complicated project, but the key to successful application is surface preparation.

Epoxy paints have also become available in a water based form making it safe for the DIY’er and perfect for indoor jobs. They cost a little more than stains. For a 400 square foot area, you’ll spend about $200 for the materials required for this project.

So, you see? You do not have to spend big money to improve your home. You have the capacity to do it yourself. With a few instructions and a little bit of work, anyone can turn dull concrete into a masterpiece of their own.

Hand-held Mosquito Zapper

August 16th, 2009 Owen Jones No comments

The hand held insect zapper is the best way of clearing the space around you of insects, especially the flying ones such as mosquitoes. The hand held insect zapper vaporizes any insect from a mosquito to a gnat instantaneously on contact with a nice, loud, electrical ‘zap’!

However, this is not to say that the indoor bug zapper cannot be used outdoors, as long as it is not raining. It should be treated like any other high voltage electrical equipment. Keep the hand held insect zapper dry and definitely do not use it while you are standing in water!

Models do vary greatly, but there are really only two types of indoor insect killer: the battery operated bug zapper and the rechargeable electric insect zapper. Both models are equally effective at zapping insects and work on the same methods.

The indoor insect zapper resembles a ‘kids’ tennis racket, but with three sets of ’strings’, which are in fact wires. The innermost grid of wires becomes live at the touch of a button, while the other two networks, one on either side, are only earths.

When an insect is caught between the wires of the electric bug killer, it creates a short, which vaporizes it instantly with a loud crack and a flash. The indoor bug zapper will kill other bugs too, but they tend to burn instead of just disappear.

I have been using the rechargeable kind for five years and am extremely satisfied with the electric bug zapper. In fact, the electric bug zapper has come a long way over the last few years. A fully charged indoor insect killer is powerful enough to last for several hundred swipes and will hold it’s charge, when unused, for weeks without any significant discharge.

The rechargeable battery unit will put up with serious use for the best part of a year, although its capability to hold a charge for several weeks gradually diminishes after six or seven months.

The most recent indoor bug zapper I’ve used has a main on/off switch, an LED that shines when it is live (the brightness of this light also indicates the battery’s strength) and a light that comes on when it is plugged in on recharge.

The instructions suggest that the bug zapper should be (re)charged for about sixteen hours. However, I usually put mine on charge over night once or twice every week or two, although the electric bug zapper shows a large increase in performance with only a few hours recharging.

The latest version I’ve used also comes with a strong light called a ‘headlamp’. I have found this very handy when walking in the garden, but I’m unsure whether it’s supposed to attract the mosquitoes in the dark so that you can zap them if you’re feeling bored or just vindictive, rather like an Anglerfish.

I’ve used the headlamp on my electric bug zapper for that too, but the light uses a lot of battery power. All in all, the electric bug zapper is a big asset to any outdoor event. The indoor insect zapper is useful to ‘clean out’ your bedroom before retiring; it’s unbeatable for evening mosquitoes and it will clear a lunch table of wasps too.

If you are interested to learn bass tabs, you should know that the process of you getting to learn bass online is really going to be the best option, because this will make the entire process as easy and convenient for you as possible.

Constantly driven by an indefatigable desire to improve Apple Inc has introduced iPhone 3G ‘S’ after its blockbuster iPhone which redefined the game for mobile phones. The new model has many new and improved features and applications over its predecessor iPhone 3G.

Increased Processing Strength: As the name of the model suggests iPhone 3G ‘S’, the ‘S’ in the name stands for speed. Online Bass Guitar Lessons: Learn With No Weaker Sides

July 23rd, 2009 Kirk Yanda No comments

Maybe you’re a fan of Flea of the Chili Peppers, or Sting, or Paul McCartney. Bass can be almost as prestigious as drums, the bass is more important to a bands sound than the drums are. Drums set the tempo, but bass truly sets the groove of the song. It’s both rhythmic and melodic.

You may wish to concentrate on bass scales or perhaps you just want to help the drums anchor the sound. It may sound like a tough choice if you are unaware of what style you want to learn but it may help you in the long run. If you want to become an excellent bass guitarist then you should always strive to learn new and interesting skills on your instrument.

There is little that proves more daunting for young bass players than realizing just how physically demanding it is to play bass. As novices watching our favorite bassists on video we think, “That doesn’t look so hard! I can do that!”

Before you begin to play the exercises, you might want to set your metronome at 60 and practice clapping each of these rhythm–2 notes per beat, 3 notes per beat, and 4 notes per beat. The exercises consist of playing your scales with a metronome in each of these rhythms. Here is how to play them:

When you hear the term learn slap bass, what it refers to is learning how to play certain techniques on the bass guitar. No matter what the other instruments in a band sound like, the bass guitar is crucial and is really the glue that holds the whole thing together. Slap bass is a way of playing the bass guitar.

Unfortunately, it turns out to be harder than it looks. Here’s why: The muscles that move your hands and fingers across the neck and strings are rarely used for other tasks. The fine motor skills needed to play a stringed instrument require that the small muscles of the hands be strengthened. So when you take up the bass, you’re like a baby learning to walk: Not only do you have no idea of what you’re doing, you don’t even have the muscles to do it.

Use your left thumb as a pivot, keeping your elbow out from your body so that it can swing back and forth freely. Curve the fingers of your left hand out over the neck to reach notes on the thicker strings; as your thumb pivots. Play the notes on the thinner strings with your fingers flattened more against the neck, your elbow pulled back, and your left thumb standing almost out straight from the neck.

With all this is in mind, now you should start for taking your lessons. It don’t matter if you hire a private teacher, learn by yourself or get some online lessons, whatever works for you will be the right path to take if you’re just beginning.
