Most newbie internet marketers go ahead and start up pay per click campaigns to help drive traffic. While PPC can be a great way to bring in traffic, if you don`t fully understand how to use it, you`ll just end up losing money. Take the time to research and understand where your money is going.

4. Being too general. A sporting goods website might do alright, but in most cases, there is just too much competition for general ideas. Instead, look for micro-niches, like “protective sports footwear”, which will have less competition and still a healthy amount of traffic. It pays to get specific. Even if you are thinking of doing this with several micro-niches, stick to one until it works, then you can branch out.

5. Giving up too soon. It`s a sad fact that most new internet marketers give up just before they could have been successful. Just because your idea didn’t hit pay dirt in the first week doesn’t mean it`s a bad idea. If you continue on, you`ll likely find that with a bit more publicity and hard work, you can make it happen, just so long as you stick with the original idea.

Internet marketing isn’t quite as easy as the gurus make it sound, though it is definitely a great way to earn a living. Note that you need to upgrade your psp firmware if you really needs or wants to play the WMA and WMV audio files. Newer firmware versions of Sony for example, can play WMA & WMV files directly on your psp. Otherwise, you can also convert the files to mp3 format. There are many ways to do this. An easier way is to use free Windows application Switch. This is easily available in the Internet. First, in the windows media player, rip the music file that you want to convert. Then you need to run the Switch software, create a new folder or output folder and select the output format. In the output format, you will have a choice to select mp3. Once you are done, you now have converted your WMA audio file to an mp3 file.

The definition of a mentor, according to Webster’s dictionary is a ‘wise and trusted adviser’. He is more than just a person we occasionally discuss our problems with. He is a person who has a vested interest in our success and will do whatever he can to ensure that we reach our goals.

In the majority of cases the mentor would be the older person. That is not necessarily always the truth though. It could be that an older person is needing to learn something new that most young people already know. For example, let’s say you are middle aged and you have just decided to start a home-based internet marketing business. You are not internet savvy at all and none of your friends are either. There is nothing negative about wanting to have a mentor. Of all of the autobiographies I have read, in the majority of cases most famous people have even written about their mentors and they attribute a great deal of their success to the mentoring program. A wonderful thing happens when a person has been successfully mentored. They in turn willingly help other to achieve their goals.

There is great satisfaction in not only being mentored but in turn mentoring others. Being mentored means that you can achieve your goals more effectively and speedily and mentoring others can be extremely rewarding as you see them grow and achieve their dreams.

I personally have a number of mentors. Without their knowledge and guidance I never would have achieved the success I have achieved in my business ventures. Their help has been priceless. My sincere thanks go out to all of them.
